Book 8 is my least favorite book so far. I love the original couple Declan and Shannon and watching their relationship develop. There are a lot of hilarious parts that made me laugh hard. My problem is that I felt like I was on a merry-go-round. Parts of the story kept circling but didn’t feel like it takes me anywhere. I want to say incredulous because I read it every other chapter. I think this is Julia's favorite word.By the time, we get to understand (a little) why Marie is so over the top crazy about her wedding foolishness; I didn’t care. Another track tht the story takes that I question is the parings. The story is starting to sound like the West Virginia/Tennessee Hollows. Andrew is with Shannon’s “best friend” Amanda, James is getting involved with Amanda’s mom. I don’t know where James and Pam's relationship is going since he always hooks up with young 20 somethings. Anyway, it feels strange and unnatural as it is becoming an inbred group.
Don’t get me wrong; I still like most of this book and series in general. Ms. Kent knows how to write and tell a story that makes me laugh. I am, however, questioning the way some parts of the story is progressing. I am hoping that Julie will return to the funniness that isn’t so over-the-top soon. Declan and Shannon are working on their issues that feel so right.

Shopping for a Billionaire Wife edition by Julia Kent Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Julia has done it again!!! The roller-coaster ride that was this book is equal to some of the biggest rides I have ever been on. I laughed until I cried, and cried until I laughed and still there was more to come. It felt so fast paced, yet spanned only a few days....satisfying and still leaving you wanting for the next ride. Her gift with words is absolutely remarkable and her ability to bring modern slang (and make up her own I think lol) leaves me breathless at her talent. There are plenty of reviews that will tell you ALL about the book...but I'll leave you with this...I'll never, ever think of tapas without thinking of Julia and this book!! I have yet to read one of Julia's books without falling in love with the characters, even Momzilla....but I think a divorce may be in the wings. Declan needs to become MY husband LOL...just kidding...he and Shannon were made for each other.
*** I recieved an ARC for an honest review*** When an author starts bringing Ricky Martin and being "rick rolled" into a story, you know its going to be an adventure. From the start you are laughing out loud and need to stop reading as you can't see through the tears. This is yet another amazing story in this series and once again its well written and you invest even more if yourself into these amazing characters (mind you by now they feel like your family members. ...or maybe that's just me as they seem to represent certain members of my own family -/ ). If you haven't read any of this series, you are missing out and do yourself a favour....now to wait until the next installment
So they escaped the nightmare of a wedding Marie created and headed for Vegas and stayed there for a couple days with no plans on actually getting married there. The whole point of going to Vegas was to get married, but I'm halfway through the book and no eloping has happened yet. This book is so ridiculously long and winded I'm just going to skip to the end so I know what happens.
A lot of stupid comments are made that should be talked about more, such as "life is business. The time I get with you is what I can squeeze around work". But nwither of them like to fight so they just kiss or have sex or someone interrupts them every time.
Julia Kent hits another one out of the ballpark with the 8th book in this series! The story picks up with our heroine, Shannon and her ever thoughtful groom-to-be (and our Hero) Declan, fleeing their "over-the-top" Scottish-themed wedding ceremony that was planned by her Momzilla mother, Marie. Because there was so much of the press invited to the ceremony, their wild escape by helicopter, makes headline news around the world! The reader is a "fly on the wall" listening to sometimes giddy, sometimes heartwrenchingly panicked conversations between Shannon and Dec as the realization of what they did and the possible "whys" slowly unravels.
Julia stays true to her witty and fast moving dialogue between the main characters and all the supporting cast members (especially Declan's brother, Andrew, Shannon's best friend, Amanda, Shannon's parents, Marie and Jason, and Dec's father, James) we've all grown to love as well! What's different this time around is Julia has added deeper character development by revealing interesting insights, which intensifies the conflicts in the story. I think these intense conflicts leads to a sweeter, more satisfying HEA ending to this installment of the story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next phase!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
